Tonight and tomorrow we commemorate the yartzeit of the Rebbe. The Rebbe changed the world we live in today tremendously. He taught us that every person is essential and every good deed makes a difference.
In the Rebbe's honor, let's light the shabbat candles on time (7:55pm in La Paz) and do a mitzvah to bring more goodness into the world.

Esta noche y mañana conmemoramos el yartzeit del Rebe. El Rebe cambió tremendamente el mundo en el que vivimos hoy. Nos enseñó que cada persona es esencial y cada buena acción hace la diferencia.
En honor al Rebe, encendamos las velas de shabat a tiempo (7:55 p. m. en La Paz) y hagamos una mitzvá para traer más bondad al mundo.

¿Por qué contamos el Omer?

Desde la segunda noche de Pascua hasta la festividad de Shavuot, tenemos la mitzvá del cuenta del Omer.

Representa los 49 días desde que los judíos fueron liberados de Egipto hasta que recibieron la Torá en el monte Sinaí.

¿Por qué contamos el Omer hoy en día?

Para mostrar nuestro entusiasmo por la festividad de Shavuot, que marca cuando recibimos la Torá. La Torá no es un libro de historia de hace mucho tiempo, sino una forma relevante y significativa de llevar nuestras vidas cada día.

Como oportunidad para superarnos. Cada día del Omer representa un nivel espiritual diferente hacia el que trabajar. Para cuando lleguemos a Shavuot, la meta es refinarnos para estar listos para recibir la Torá nuevamente este año.

Cada día es una oportunidad para convertirnos en mejores personas y traer más luz y bondad al mundo.
